With VHS tapes slowly disappearing from the world of home entertainment, why not consider having your current VHS tapes put on a DVD with our “Direct Tape to Disc” Transfer service?

It's a fact!

Video tapes will eventually lose all their information. Within 15 years, all those precious memories you thought were preserved indefinitely could be gone. What can you do about it? We can help. We will preserve those precious memories by converting them to DVD.

Videotape was never intended to be a long term storage media. The principle behind it involves storing the video signal magnetically on fragile tape. The tape eventually gets brittle. Simply playing the tape over and over on a VCR causes the tape to become demagnetized over time. If that doesn't  destroy it, a VCR will. These antiquated devices have been known to eat videotapes for lunch.

Now you can do something to preserve those memories for the long-term. We will convert your VHS tapes to DVD.

 DVD's are based on optically storing the information. The information is transferred digitally, which preserves the quality of the video exactly. This is a much more durable approach which will last a lifetime, possibly several lifetimes.

What you send us on tape is what you will receive on your DVD.

We can add music, special effects, chapters etc, but frankly it’s more expensive and you just might have more fun doing it yourself with the software that probably came with your computer.

Let us know if you want the additional editing service as we would be happy to manage this for you.

Please note that converting your old tapes to DVD does NOT make the quality of the recordings any better. All tape formats record at much lower quality than DVD.

Older, frequently played tapes will be even more deteriorated. This process will convert the existing quality of you tape to a digital format that is going to last and does not degrade each time you play it and by its very nature will be visually crisper.

Standard VHS to DVD Conversion Package: $15.00

That is not a mistake that is all it costs. Because we don’t have a huge overhead we can pass on our cost efficiencies to you. (We could have said $14.99 but I know that it annoys me so I decided to just say what it really is)

  • Covers 1 tape at up to 2 hours of VHS video footage
  • Includes paper sleeve with cover and title
  • PLUS, we can include duplicates for $8.00 each.

A shipping cost of $5.00 will cover the cost of shipping an original tape plus the DVD and insurance; to you. We ship by weight and always insure.

We do not hide “handling charges” in your shipping fee. If we have an unplanned expense we will call you for approval before going forward.
